Need new Tires......Concerned about wheel width....Need some Advice

Stock tires according to the spare, and the door jamb sticker is 265/75/16. Current tires are a 245/75/17.

How did the 245s do on your vehicle while you rode with them?

I have a spare set of wheels and snow tires I picked up dirt cheap for my previous Vehicle, a Trailblazer where 245s were stock on it. The snow tires are practically new so I'm considering whether or not to pick up a spare set of Escalade wheels and move the tires over for the winter. Going from 265 to 245 though is my only concern since the full size SUV is about 2000lbs heavier than the mid size I had before.
