Have loved my ‘02 hoe for over 10 years now. Have switched to a more practical daily driver and put the Tahoe up for sale. I’m hoping to get some honest opinions on a fair asking price. Listed it a couple weeks ago and the ads have gotten tons of “hits”, a bunch of “saves” and lots of inquiries… but no one has even shown up to look it as of yet. I’m not desperate for the cash so I don’t want to give it away.

It’s a 2002 LT 4WD, 5.3 Vortec, with 295k miles. Everything works perfectly. Transmission is smooth and the motor is strong. No leaks at all, tho she does burn about a quart of oil between changes. Had all seals/gaskets done a couple years back, new steering box, tie rods, hubs etc also. Put the heavier Bilstein shocks and rear springs on it. Sitting on 20” Ballistic wheels and newer Goodyear Eagles (about 8,000 miles on them). Aftermarket touch screen and component speakers in all the doors. Wired for subs/amp (2gauge) in the rear. She’s very clean. Only small issues are 1. Engine light on for 0-2 sensor even tho it’s been swapped out 2. ABS light on for- shows bad sensor 3. Check engine oil level light stays on even tho she is full (I check it consistently).

Any thoughts on a fair price? Just want to see how my current asking price lines up.

Nice looking Tahoe.

Personally, a 22 year old vehicle with almost 300K is worth somewhere in $5000 -$7000 range in my opinion. With that old of a vehicle, all the entertainment upgrades don’t add much value in my book nor does the aftermarket rims, but that is just my humble opinion.

The oil usage is not unreasonable, but [along with the mileage] is likely to scare some folks. I'd think about covering the torn seats.

This past summer, I spent $1200 on a 2002 Sienna before I sold it, just fixing stuff that didn't hurt reliability, but that could make a poor first impression. I think it was well worth it.

I'd, personally, pay up to $4500 - $5000 for the Tahoe. Regardless, good luck.
