Hello. I'm new here, but have been researching a ton. I searched the forum extensively about my issue, but I couldn't find any concrete information.

I have a 2007 yukon denali. Just recently I found out that my front shocks are leaking. So I want to change them out. I would also like to do the rears as well. I saw the Monroe full quick strut kit, but have heard mixed reviews. I like the arnott-bilstein kit https://www.arnottindustries.com/part_GMC_yid15_pid78.html. However, I have no clue if my truck has autoride or not, and if that kit would fit my truck.

In very new to all this suspension stuff, so please enlighten me. Looking forward to any feedback.

Regards,

Brian

It should be since its a Denali.....check behind the left rear tire up on the frame for a compressor-there should be a box mounted on the frame rail with a rubber cover protecting the compressor. Also your rear shocks should have rubber bladders....

Thanks for the speedy reply. I just looked behind the left rear tire, and yes, there is a little box with a wire, so I guess that means I have autoride.

So, what do you think? Will that kit in the link from arnott-bilstein work? If not, what do you suggest? Thanks again.

The kit in the link should work just fine and that would eliminate your autoride feature. The autoride suspension can be problematic--I already swapped my rear shocks and am on my 2nd compressor. If it fails again I will be switching over to a similar kit. The rear auto leveling feature is nice but not worth the headache in the end IMO There are alot of components that make up the autoride suspension and if just one fails then hello warning light ;)

Hello there, I'm pulling the trigger on the Arnott/ Bilstein setup next Friday. After all of the complaints and reading about the life span (Or lack thereof) of the Air Ride Shocks and compressor, I'm dumping the system all together. If you get yours installed before next Saturday, let us know how she rides!

I'm doing the install myself (Blown out right rear air bladder and left is on it's way), doesn't look too scary to do!

Hey! I have not placed my order for the kit yet. My buddy, who is my mechanic has been pretty busy lately. I will probably place the order sometime this week and hopefully have it installed next week.

If you can, let me know how yours goes...

Sure thing! Aside from bolts being a pain to break free, it shouldn't be too bad.

The kit comes with some sort of dummy connector to trick the system into thinking it's working properly, should be okay. That was one of my concerns when I decided to get rid of the Auto Ride. Thankfully, they took it into account and have a solution.

For 685 bucks, I'll take it! New rear coils, shocks and struts for the front, not bad considering I would have paid that much, if not more to replace the rear shocks and compressor.
