Looks about normal, the visual level of the coolant reservoir will change unless you check it, parked level in the morning before you start it up.
with the engine running or after a drive it's likely to read different.
hell even checking it cold before starting it could read different, the main thing to watch is that is it not going down, I see you marked the tank that's all you have to worry about.
Coolant level is fine. I guess I’m not too concerned about the temperature… Just more holding the temperature, seems like it’s taking a little longer to warm up, and seems like sitting and idling. It will start to cool down again.

I just feel like it used to warm up quicker

Ehhhh I think maybe it’s just bc I changed the radiator. Probably over thinking… it only drops a needle width below 210 maybe when it idles.

My old one was clogged I think. IMG_1090.png
Looks like the old one was clogged bad in the middle with dirt. Could be wrong

When are the fans supposed to kick on? Felt like I heard them on. I don’t think they are running constantly

They wont turn on in 35 degree weather, probably wont until it gets hot outside unless you’re idling for a long time and it’s at least warm outside. They’re controlled by the ECM and depends on what temp they’re set to, I don’t remember what the stock tune is set to. I think it’s 215 or something, Wes probably knows.

How does that work if it never goes past 210? Other factors at play that determine when they come on?

Pretty sure I heard them running while I was sitting idling. And it’s cold out. Than again the engine is pretty loud hence the name vortec. Sounds like a damn vortex lol.

Ps nothing wrong with worrying when it comes to ur ride imo

Maybe it’s 210. It has to be higher than the thermostat is set to be when it’s wide open. One will come on when the ECM decides it’s needed or the AC is turned on and the second when either the AC is on high or the first one isn’t enough. I do not remember the exact temps. Worry away if that’s your thing. You will know when the fans turn on even if you have a loud exhaust. Your voltage gauge will also drop momentarily. They’re pretty damn loud.
