I have a 2001 GMC Yukon XL and I have a leaky water pump so it needs to be changed which isn't the issue for me. The real issue is the damn internet these days and while searching for a water pump, i'm reading horrible reviews for most water pumps which makes me weary. What pumps have you guys replaced the original with? Delco? Carquest? any others and have you had any issues. I don't want to have to get under the truck more than I need to haha if you know what I mean.

I'm going to be facing the same dilemma soon. Subscribed.
Note: I found where my Tahoe's water pump was changed by the dealer at 174,000 miles. I now have 275,000 with no issues, so I'd assume it was an AC Delco model. I'm going to be doing a 6.0 swap, and I need to put in a water pump on the new motor. I'm curious as what the guys will say.

If you have the cash get the Delco but I've had good luck with Gates also... I have a 6.0 swap and was gonna pick up the Gates with thermo and housing from Rock Auto
