Long story short how can I tell when my truck was originally sold and is it still under factory powertrain? W/O going to the dealer of course, lol

My lifters are getting louder and louder! SMFH

i dont think you need to know when it was sold im pretty sure tahoes carry a 5 year 100k transferrable powertrain warranty

Correct but my truck is 2010 which means it was sold in 2009 and my luck it was purchased 3/13/09 which meand my warranty ended yesterday!:flame:

has it been in for repairs relating to the lifters when the warranty was still good
also im going to assume youve checked the oil and recently had an oil change
my started getting loud awhile back and no oil leaks on the ground but i was really low on oil and the rear mainseal started leaking and all my oil drained into the bellhousing were the flex plate and torque inverter is

Never been in for repair pertaining to the lifters. The warranty may be good, I have to call monday and verify. Didnt want to wait till then thats why I asked here. Only had the truck for less then 1 year and did like 3 oil changes. Mine makes noise for about 5 minutes that now I remote start it before I am ready to leave!

You can check carfax to see when it was first titled. That is when the warranty starts.

Just call GM and they can give you your original sold date. Simple as that
