Neutralizing road salt any suggestions

Hey Everyone,

So I have been searching the web for a solution but keep getting mixed advice. I am looking for a way to clean off the salt of the undercarriage after a snow storm. People suggested using baking soda to neutralize the salt, others said using products like salt off or salt away. What do you guy s do to clean the undercarriage of your car.

A car wash is all I use.

Yea unfortunately where I live they all suck. I also was told alot of them recycle the water . I bought a sprinkler that i hook up to the garden hose and chuck that under the car. Just was curious if adding baking soda in the mix would help or any of those products or is that just a waste of money. I orederd

and was going to use it to add the baking soda or the salt off just wasn't sure if Baking soda was enough or pointless for neutralizing salt.

Carwashes here do the undercarriage, just a water spray from the floor, you can tell because it’s white before and dripping wet after.

Not sure there is any truth to the recycle thing, at least not in my experience.

fluid film, stuff is amazing. its a oil based application we use it alot in the northeast, it will also turn a rusty frame black

just put it on once before winter starts or continuously?

Usually once before winter Is plenty. However Some do it in fall and spring

Fluild film for the win.... i used it on my jetski as well.. I AM curious about the baking soda though..

I also flush my ski with the salt away... kinda expensive... but it gives me piece of mind.

The other thing i came across was have the rust underneath taken care of and the coated with a protective paint like por 15. This company does it just not sure if i can justify spending 1k for the service
