First a picture bc everyone likes pictures!

Rear height is higher due to heavy duty shocks for the tow package, which will be switched out soon, maybe Monroe maybe Bilstein, any suggestions help.

As I’m new here and just got the truck yesterday, I’m still figuring out the differences between civi and PPV.

Do all PPVs have the lights disconnected for when you unlock/lock the truck with the key fob? I am not the best with wiring so this one may be hard for me.

Do all PPVs have rear speakers disconnected? This may just be removing panels and reconnecting… not sure yet

Do all PPVs have non working rear door handles from the inside?? This seems as if the handle cable has just been disconnected from the latch. Gotta check it out.

also where do y’all find the dark grey pewter A pillars with handles! And center consoles!! Hahaaa been looking all over!

I’ll update when I figure these things out. Hopefully with some help from here. Can’t wait to be a part of this community!

You’ll get more feedback if you ask a moderator to move this out of the model year 2021 section and over to 7-14.

My education so far has been that different agencies and shops have their own methods of modifying the locks, lights etc. There’s not one universal way. You’ll need to open up those rear doors and see what is missing, or what may have been added.

On mine, they removed the lock actuator linkage and replaced it with a choke cable through the front of the door. Cut the cables for the inside door handles. You can get that cable from Dorman if needed. GM doesn’t sell it, just the whole door handle assembly.

check your stock part numbers some have ZL1 suspension or police suspension see photo with red stock with circle. RPO code should tell you in your glove box.

Not much really just extra grounding and more battery positive spots for radios and equipment, and extra coolers on everything Engine oil, trans, steering, and etc. think a stripped down civilian mode LS.

From what My 2 dealer tech friends say it was removed from the factory and cant be turned back on maybe a guy who programs BCMS can.

there is a connector for the speakers are under the radio look for a blue connector I believe with a WX7, might be behind the radio.
Read up on page 76 - 130 - There will be a quiz on next week Friday lol

Usually they just remove the pull cord and leave it inside the door, unlucky they remove the cord easy fix from a local scrap yard most GMT900 share the same parts.

Center console check Craiglist, offerup, and car-par.com Facebook market place. search tahoe, yukon, silverado (2007 was a in-between year 2008 to 2014ish), sierra (2007 was a in-between year 2008 to2014ish), avalanche (2007 to 2014 only) Escalade center console will fit but you have to swap everything dash display and vents climate controls (wiring involved and radio (Reprogramed to your vin number to work and maybe wiring).
By in-between years some are on the GMT800 you can tell by the front end and dash.

Would check for any loose wires have shorted couple things due to the upfitters removing equipment and leaving hanging wires live wires or holes in the rood and floor. Any questions post on in this thread or PM direct.

Before and after photos on the bottom. one of these day need to make a build thread.

So my rpo code does say z56 but I was told from who I bought it, that it was used for towing so it had heavy duty shocks/springs installed alongside with a tow hitch. It does sit high in the rear. I would like to at least get the rear to PPV height but not with the PPV parts as everyone says they ride rough. I’ll measure out each height above the wheel today.

I did get around to pulling the rear door panels off and there was no cable or assembly at all. Also the speakers wires were plugged in already but still don’t work. (Yes I checked the fader lol) the back cargo pillar tweeters do work thou… The window switches were spliced for some reason. Pic below.

the only thing that has shorted out so far was the right 12v socket on the dash I replaced the left with a quick charge USB port socket. Next day I used the right 12v for a vacuum and it shorted out!

I appreciate all the help!

Today I added LED DRLs
5B5A064E-2346-486A-86F6-9D019496E79F.jpeg

Added some door handle covers, look better (good from far but tacky upclose IMO) but I’ll eventually get new handles and paint em gloss black. Drivers side and passenger are loose so they gotta be switched out anyways.

I also painted the applique black the other day and added a powder coated black emblem, TAILLIGHTS ARE NEXT!
