Has anyone gotten a new Tahoe with the 12" screen? I have seen 1 online that came through a dealership in Houston but of course it was on hold for a buyer. Thoughts on new dash?? Nice, cheesy, etc...worth the wait just for dash change?

I’ve only seen a few photos of it but not in person.

I thought initially it would be cool having the 8” version or whatever it is in my ‘21, but I’m not able to really customize it much. It has the same exact pages of info my wife’s ‘20 Traverse has (just the rectangular area you page through). The gauges at the top are not customizable at all…they’re identical to their analog gauge counterparts.

I’d be curious if the new dash supports better customization…colors, fonts, move around the items that can be displayed and such.

I would think anything has to be better than what’s on my ‘21 so if I had to do it all over again, I’d wait for a ‘22 and get that nicer dash. Don’t get me wrong, the ‘21 dash on mine is nice, but it seems dated even before seeing the ‘22 dash.

If you can’t flip the entire display to a map or set up the info displayed how you want, then what’s so great?…with that great HUD we have now, I hardly ever look down at the cluster… Perfectly happy with what the analog cluster can do…..

I came from a second-gen Audi Q7 (a first year, 2017) with virtual cockpit before they dropped Google Earth integration. While it was great to look at and ultra-high def, I literally never used it as I was always using HUD. Believe it or not the Yukon has even better HUD than my Q7 did and while I love the idea of more technology/configuration and controls in the dash, I bet I look at the dash controls less than 5% of the time as I’m so used to the HUD as where I look for information. Also I’ve only had vehicles equipped with HUD for the past 10+ years and vowwed never to own a vehicle again without it, it’s that big of a deal to me, so perhaps I’m biased. YMMV

I share the same exact feeling and decided not to wait for the new digital screen since I found a ‘21 Denali in Dark Sky Metallic that checked most of the boxes.

I like the 21 dash and infotainment. Haven't experienced any glitches and the HUD is very nice. Better than my wife's Lexus. The only thing I wish I had was air suspension. Full digital dash isn't something I would wait for and I'm a tech guy.

My dealer just got 3 22’s Z71 and I browsed the pictures and all of them have the new digital display. Think they are fully loaded as their sticker price is 82k for a Z71…. Still don’t think a Z71 should be up at that price and also all have the 5.3.

Edit: correction they now posted the window stickers and all are 6.2’s. 82k is the msrp.

Personally yes the new display looks nice but I had a digital display on my 17 Jeep which was non customizable at all other than being able to add fuel range, temp and a few other things but don’t think it will be fully customizable maybe a color change like someone said. Basically my 21 dash is good with me, has color screen and mainly use the main screen for nav so I won’t be loosing any sleep on missing out on the new dash.

Below are the 4 gauge cluster layouts available on my 22 Yukon. Can’t really customize colors or many options.

My 22 Z71 has it. There are 4 layouts you can choose from. Within each layout you can change the right, center, or left area to other preset digital information sets.

You can not fully customize it like an android phone or anything. No customization on font, color, etc. either.
