I have been lurking for a while, checking out the forum and tech info and decided to finally introduce myself. My name is Jay and we traded our 2005 F-250 diesel for a 2011 Denali XL in Diamond White Pearl in September. I thought that the mileage (55K) and the 6.2 would be my favorite features, but they cannot hold a candle to the air conditioned seats!! Every car in Atlanta should come with these!!!

Hope to soon do a fog light mod so they will come on with the headlights, AIRAID Jr. intake and some Eibach sway bars. Although the lighted cup holder mod has appealed to me and may be a Christmas present to myself!!

Really love this vehicle and have already taken it to the Fall Carlisle PA swap meet. What a great road trip!! My two buddies and I rode in style and it more than carried our stash home to Atlanta. Had our first problem after we unloaded and I left the cargo shade on top of the truck. It stayed up there for a mile or two then flew off on a left hand turn. DOH!! It was scratched up but otherwise working. Still; I replaced it before anyone in the family found out. I plan on offering it up for sale when my post count gets higher.

Again, what a great vehicle! For the past two years we have rented a Suburban and a Yukon XL to take to Florida and they have always worked out well. Plan on towing a project home this weekend so I hope it will do as well as the F-250 did.

Thanks for all the welcomes.

This weekend's project was flat towing the newest project home. It is an '85 C10 with no engine or trans. This will be my 12yo daughters first car and she has to help fix it up in order to get her license. Like I tell her, "you don't have to do ALL the work, just enough to know how things work." That way, when she grown and out on her own, she will know when a mechanic is taking advantage of her.

This was the first time I towed with the Denali. All in all, I could tell something was back there but the Denali still did the job more than well. It was a pleasure to tow with and did it all with the sunroof open and the a/c seats on. Tow mode was perfect and the downshift with the 6.2 sounded SSSOOOOOOO cool! So much better to live with than the Super Duty!!!

I can't be the only person that wants the Duramax/Allison combo in a 2500 Suburban??
