Question is and one i asked myself when looking at new, "Do you really need one now, and how would feel after spending 50-60K on a new SUV that will be the previous model in lets say less than 2 years from now?" I didn't want to spend that much money and be in that situation, could not justifiy it. So I bought used, pay off in 3 years, Part-Ex on new model.... Happy Camper.

Cheers POLO.

Any rough estimates to how low below invoice? 1k, 2k, . . . ?

thanks

Typically Dealer Holdback on a vehicle is 3% or so. It could be as high as 5% in some cases which would get you around the $3000 discount (below invoice) on a 60k vehicle. GM is around 3% i believe. It's all about if the dealer is willing to give up all or some of that money. Typically they are since GM incentivizes the dealerships on volume which makes up for loss of profit on a few deals like this that they give to an educated buyer. Always remember this is negotiating the PRICE and that incentives/rebates are always gravy ON TOP the price you pay below invoice. Dealerships don't pay the rebates, the manufacturer does.
