I just picked up an SLT which shockingly has every option you can imagine minus the magnetic ride control and the 6.2L V8 (Denali options).

My first question for this thing is that I see in the manual that it takes H11 LL for headlights, wondering if I can just throw some H11 HID's in there since it already has projectors.

My second question is what video formats does the Intellilink recognize? I've tried divx, avi, mp4, mpg and can't seem to find the right one.

With the questions out of the way I'll say that this truck is badass. The best way to describe every part of this truck is that it's a refined version of the '07-'14. The motor and suspension really stand out and the interior speaks for itself. I haven't really stood on the gas pedal yet as I'm waiting until is has more miles on it to do that.

Thanks for the help!

Putting HID bulbs in OEM halogen projectors is a hit and miss proposition ... some take to them relatively well, others provide very poor output. I think you'd be the first one on this forum to do it so I'm sure a lot of members who are considering the same thing would love to see output shots. If you do it please use a TRS (theretrofitsource.com) kit that way we know the output when using good quality aftermarket components.

What we really need is someone to try and open up those Yukon housings and see what OEM HID projector might a straight swap for them ... my suspicion is that whatever projector the Denali is using is going to be interchangeable with the halogen projector of the base Yukon. Usually GM uses Hella E-55 projectors for their HID lamps, but hard to tell without opening one up. In any case, it should be a pretty easy retro ... and for the lazy ballers, I imagine a set of Denali headlamps will run about $1k for a simple swap.

I don't know the answer to your questions, I just want to see some pics of it! Congrats on the new purchase. Also what kind of suspension did your SLT come with?

On a side note I have a set of retrofits done by a member here that I can get rid of now. Pm me if anyone is interested.

It does pop up out of the dash but doesn't work in that position. It pops up and exposes a large pocket behind that contains a USB port (that is lit up by an led).
