It's synthetic and better than Dexron V. However, yours is 15 years old and if never done before, any fluid change may cause premature failure.

Im at 155k and the fluid on the dipstick is still pink but Im not too sure about the remaining 11 quarts (whole transmission) if I do a flush by removing the cooler line and start and stop the motor to pump the old fluid out with dexron 3, How can this be unsafe for the transmission? Im not too sure how or why it could be bad

If the fluid is still pink, it's likely been cared for and changed before. If it were my truck, I would go ahead and change the fluid.

If you disconnect your upper transmission cooler line and hook up external rubber hoses, you can pump out the old stuff into one bucket while drawing in the new stuff from another bucket.

So I'm about to do an ATF drain and fill this weekend on my 06 denali with 90K and I'd like to transition to synthetic. I found an ac delco dexron vi synthetic on Amazon for what appears to be a good price. The problem is that I can't find any reviews on it (anywhere) and it looks like it was just released sometime last year. I figure since it's ac delco and dexron vi what could go wrong but I wanted to see if anyone here has any experience with it before I pull the trigger.

Dang it used to be $26 on Amazon. The Wally world Supertech is only $4.27 a quart and I've used it on multiple GM products.

I like to browse "bobistheoilguy.com" and I just read that WalMart Supertech Dex6 is licensed & a good product as such. (For the most part; please view link)

There really is a "best," and "avg," "worst," across various lines, makes, & manufacturers is concerned but like somebody else said, for your everyday grocery-getter driven normally, all Dex-6 pretty much equal, especially when refreshed before certain properties of the fluid begin to break down. If I was concerned with towing, longevity, performance then I would be doing more research on what I would specifically want to use in my applications.

Do you have the part number for the fluid and is it safe to use in a 2002 2wd 4l60e trans? I really need to do a flush Thanks
Depending on how many miles you have on your truck, if it's more than 60K and you never flushed (vacuumed) it before, don't do it !! My truck had 100k on it, ran beautiful, i decided to have the tranny flushed using the machine, 2 days later, tranny burned out. I believe the flushing loosens up particles that then get stuck in the valves etc.
