I'm happy that you got it going. These things are a beast and should keep you on the road for a long time if you keep up with maintenance. As for correct tire size, they are 235/75/15 for the 2wd Tahoe. If you have 16 inch tires, then someone changed them to aftermarket wheels and tires unless you actually have a Z71 or 4wd. Then it would be a 245/75/16 or 265/75/16 depending on options. Do you have 5 lug nuts or 6 lug nuts?

There should be a decal on the drivers side door or door jam with the right size from the factory.

I think the 2wd used a 15", look at the label on the driver side door.

Y'all are both right. I went and checked and they're 235/75/15. I guess it just never occurred to me that it would have 15's. In the interest of keeping this halfway on topic I'll start another thread about the tires. Thanks again for all the help.
