where exactly do these wires go?


i just got mine in today


really beefy compared to the original cables


i'm going to order the ground straps i found bulk buy of 2" braided copper cable (tinned)so i'll terminate my own wires they have 160amp capacity but i'll double it up for 320amp capacity


it's going to be way cheaper to manufacture my own cables as i'm going to double the wire string and solder them for MAX power transfer and performance ..

Not sure since I don't have a hybrid but make sure the fire fighters can see the yellow markers so they know where to cut 'em.

i figured out where the wires go but i see one goes under the lower radiator hose ? not sure to what though

I plan on replacing all my power cables also to a larger gauge with more strands. That one wire that goes under the radiator hose grounds on the radiator support from what I saw.

i think the splash shield has to come off i have to replace that as it cracked and will not survive a reinstall( don't want to risk it flying off in traffic ) I was quoted 2 hours to install both cables (booktime) i'll just buy a set of tools (don't have the deep socket as it's required for the positive cable)and do it for the cost of the set of tools(like 20$) it looks pretty simple since I traced the positive wires..

i paid 97$ for both cables on ebay let me know if you want the item number to it (he only has 1 left for the negative cable and 2 for the positive cable) they're required to be quick disconnect ( also it requires the firefighter labels )


after market cables will not work

maybe on the negative cable(also the 2 slave ground cables can be after market i also sourced some 0/1 copper 2" braided cable to replace those )

not the positive cable


positive cables are OEM only as it has a proprietary plug on the positive the standard tahoe has the same connector(unless you do some hacking to the cable)



besure to disconnect the battery before pulling the fuse loader tray to remove the power cable

Where did the heavy cable connect? The one on the rad support was easy but I have been unable to even get to the one on the block. Any tricks to removing and reinstalling that one? Mine is on a Yukon Denali XL 6.0 l AWD but I believe the neg cable is the same.

it's on there good penetrating oil might be required i never did get mine replaced as i could not get the one off the block
