Hi everyone

I have just picked up a 2010 Chevy Tahoe Hybrid. I'm not too familiar with options, servicetools, best Place to buy parts (online as I do live in Norway) etc yet but hopefully I'll get to the same level of knowledge as I have with my 2008 LR3.

For the moment I have a few questions:
1.What is the preffered service tool to have for Reading/clearing faultcodes etc..
2. What is the "go to site" for parts, accessories etc..?
3. I accidentally turned the 4x4 nob past "auto" and into 4x4 "high" I suppose and drove off, after 5 mins the amber engine light came on, could that have something to do with it or maybe it was just random.? Hence the need for a service tool to reset this engine light so I don't need to travel to the dealer when these things occur..

Just a little picture of the New Hybrid alongside the "Disco"

Thanks for all help :)

Hello and welcome :)

The preferred tool is a Tech II Scan tool

What I like to do for parts is email gmpartsdirect . com and get the correct parts for your vehicle as per the VIN of your vehicle. Then I source the part out via Google. Rock Auto, E bay are some of the popular places but seeing your across the pond hmm, I'm not sure.

I wish I could help with the 4wd issue but, I'm a 2wd kinda guy. Hopefully someone will hop in and be able to help you with that as well as some additional info.

DO NOT reset the CEL, you need a scan tool to read the code to diagnose what went wrong and fix the error . You can reset the error without a tool by unhooking the battery for a few minutes and then hooking it back up. But without the scan tool you won't know why it came on in the first place and it could possibly come back.

Welcome to the Hybrid Cult!

What's up with all the reflectors on the lower bumper?

image.jpeg image.jpeg So, not keen very active on this forum, but thought I would give a short summary.
The Thai have been very good to us, only real issue have been the tire monitoring system, when changing tires, fall and spring.

The hybrid system is imo quite useless, is there any way to manipulate the system to stay on for longer... As much as looking at the accelerator, and the engine kicks in..

Just did a good rubbing-polish-wax session, turned out real good..

In Norway we are not allowed to use the arrows in the mirror, so these are disconnected, is it easy to connect those again? If so, where are the wires..? :)

The wires run into the door so you'd have to take the inside door panel off. They connect around where the inside door handle is
