Toe hooks

This is pretty amazing. I just got around to installing my chrome tow hooks (that I've had sitting on my desk for two weeks, and I have NO CLUE HOW TO GET TO THAT SAME BOLT! haha I was really hoping to come on here and ask how to get to that passenger-side bolt, and there was your post (where you're having the same issue).

At least you were able to get yours installed (albeit not entirely). I had stock, black tow hooks, and so I can't remove the passenger-side one at all at the moment.

Robbie, It'd be great if, when you get a second, could take a peek at your rig and see what we're talking about. There's a metal piece welded to the frame that makes the bolts tough to get to, but then there's also a plastic support member that has the lower valance and also the wheel well liner bolted to it that completely blocks access.

Seems that the only access would be through the hook evening in the front, and only with some 90° pneumatic wrench...

I'll look around for other posts on tow hooks and see if anyone knows the secret.

What a coincidence. haha

I love the chrome tow hooks!

And for all you guys asking.... When I put my grille guard on I had to loosen the tow hooks, the only way I was able to get it back properly was to remove that plastic thing on the front edge of the bumper (That black thing in front of the wheel). I have an Escalade but I expect it to be the same for a Tahoe and that's the only way I could get to tighten the bolt.

Oh boy...I think its called the lower valence but I could be wrong. Anyways is it hard to remove or is it just a couple of bolts here and there?

Kirk, I finally got that bolt tight...well tight enough. I put two extentions together and it made it long enough to pass up all the crap thats in the way. I have my hooks for looks, doubt I'll ever use them so I am fine with how tight I got the bolt but if you plan on using yours then you will want to undo the clips/bolts on the wheel well and I believe you can get to it fairly easy from there. Hope that helps...

ranorris2 -- Thanks for that info! I have a shop right up the street that does a lot of work on our vehicles, so I took it there. I knew he could get to it with an air wrench, which he did, so... That's that. But, that's good info for anyone else looking to do it in his driveway.

Here's a not-very-revealing pic with the chrome tow hooks. This pic doesn't show it, but these really "tie together" the theme of my truck in the front. The tow hooks are on the same level as the fog lights, and it's a good look, imo.
