Welcome from Oregon. Before you replace the rear main which is a huge job since you have to pull the trans, make sure it’s not one of the other areas that are known to leak and make it look like it’s the rear main. Rocker cover gaskets, oil pressure sender, valley cover gasket can all leak oil down into the same area as the rear main. Oil pan gasket and oil cooler block off plate/ oil cooler lines on the side of the pan also are known leakers. Did you manage to get a borescope up through the inspection plate in the bell housing to see the area around the rear main?
