The more i look at your pics, not best angles to see but...those flat spots on the upper corners of the grill need to line up with tops of the painted pieces, yours are hanging down like mine where when i just bolted it in. I had to loosen all clamps and pull it up till those flat spots were even and then i tightened the top clamps to hold it. Then i tightened the rest and it stayed.

Oh no, it's the latch.
The grille is not lined up all the way but it is only off by about 1/5 an inch. The gap is far bigger than the misaligned amount.
I think for some reason the latch is messed up.

Take a close up shot of that area if you could. Did you take the whole front end off at some point?

Might be a dumb question, but is the factory grill 1 piece?

I was looking at it yesterday trying to figure it out.
