Our stock chrome Yukon grill was broken by flying debris on the road.

I really did not like any of the stock OR aftermarket grills available
Soo, I bought a used stock black plastic grill, and sent it off to be chromed (actually, Metalized).
I was kinda worried about how it would end up, never having seen this done before, but I really like the result.

Yeah.......that does look pretty cool. I went the all black route, but that does look solid.

Who did it?

M & M Metalizing in California.
I was pleased with the final product, and they were very helpfull along the way.

I really like the look of the Yukon Hybrid, and this is close to that.

Here is a close up.
The metalizing process puts down a layer of 'chrome' looking material.
But, you have to remember, the 'textured' areas will be textured after, as you will see from the photo. If anything was possible, I would have wanted the smooth chrome look, but it was not.
That being said, I like this option better than anything else I've seen.
It's hard to tell untill you get very close.

I like the way it looks in the closeup. At first, I wasn't sure if I liked it but it does look good!

Hybrid indeed.

What did it cost you to send it off and to have them do it?
