New guy 99 GMC Suburban K1500 wheel question

Hey all,
I enjoy reading these forums and seeing what everyone is doing with there rides thought I’d go ahead and give it a try. I just picked up a clean OBS 99 GMC Suburban K1500 and I was wondering will newer 20” takeoffs fit without any rubbing? If they do rub what can I do to make them fit level/lift/spacers?

yes they will fit i put 18s on my 1992 with zero issues. the problem comes with tires. i would get close to a stock tire size as possible. Some guys fit 33s on it with minimal trimming.

to be safe a OE size tire should fit fine. any larger and you might have issues.

Tire calculator, this size should work with no rubbing, someone on here has those 20s on an OBS 2 door. I couldn’t find it

I would guess 285's would fit fine, 305's might have rubbing at full lock which can usually be addressed by a little trimming or zip ties.
but that's pure speculation

I have 285/75/R16 on my 1998 2 door tahoe 4wd. They rub just a little at full lock. Not certain how a suburban ride height compares...
