Hello All:

Been a non-registered lurker for several years, but now that I'm stepping up my search for a 2012-14 Tahoe PPV, it's time to formally join. A little about me: I've been around cars, specifically Chevy's since birth. Not a snob to Chevy, I like all cars, boats, tractors, pretty much anything mechanized. Ha! I look forward to learning more about Tahoe's in general, specifically the PPV, and contributing when possible. I'm specifically interested in finding out if someone here has a take-out OEM GPS / DVD audio head unit that I can retrofit into a PPV to get the GPS. I realize there are likely other ways that are better (cheaper) than OEM, but I like to keep things stock. I've found a couple places that make retrofit kits that seem pretty straightforward to install, but I'm sure they aren't going to point out potential pitfalls either. :)

Lot's Chevy's, a few Fords, and hopefully a PPV in the near future!

Welcome. Extremely easy to put a factory Nav unit in these vehicles. Plenty of vendors to choose from - and I would recommend the 2012+ unit with internal hard drive. Contact Greg at CPS audio for a great deal on one.
