Greetings everyone! I'm new around here, sort of. I've been reading some of the threads here and finally decided to make a profile and hopefully get a few questions answered. Anyhow, I drive a 99 Yukon SLE with 247,000 miles on it and to be honest, its got me stumped which is why I'm here.

Not sure what else to say, so feel free to ask questions

Four Seasons is actually part of the Lake Ozark/Osage Beach area. Its more of a community than it is a town.

Are any of you guys good at identifying specific Tahoe or Yukon special options? I keep getting mixed signals as to what I actually own.

I've got a 99 Yukon that doesn't seem to fit into any category except Special Order or some weird hybrid police package.

For starters, its a 4x4 and the speedo only goes to 100, but it has 11 inch drums, 140 alternator, a bigger rear diff than I've seen on other trucks, and it sits lower than most I've seen. As far as I can tell, it came from the factory like this. I've also never seen a paint setup like mine. Its mostly a gold-tan color with black below the body moldings. I've seen something similar on a Tahoe, but it was a Country Heritage Edition... Whatever that means.

I appreciate the help and the kind welcome. To be honest, this is the first fullsize GM SUV that I've ever owned. I've had two S-10 Blazers and a stepside 94 Sierra before this, along with about 30 other vehicles. I'm trying to learn more about them because there seems to be quite a few ways to make them unique and the price I paid for mine is nothing to be argued with.

However, after owning it for a while now, I'm starting to notice patterns, like defective dome lights, burnt out tail light circuit cards, horrible door hinges, and HVAC issues, to name a few. I'm really hoping that with everyone's combined knowledge and experience I can bring this thing back to its former glory and possibly better. Again, thanks for the help
