Yeah that's true, a tip would be a lot cheaper than a whole new system. My buddy can weld, and what do ya know, he keeps his welder at my house! Time to collect rent money! haha

I did a quick search and found a Corsa cat-back with dual tip rear exit. Nice tip. Any good sites you guys use for Tahoe/Burb stuff? I don't want to get some cheap tip from AutoZone.

Do you know if the rear video units are GM accessory ones or are they something else? I have the GM acc ones and for them to run the same video, you must flip through the video function (i think to video #2) on the other one to feed the same movie. But yes, you can have them run the same movie or different ones being they each have their own player.

They look just like the GM accessory ones but I'm not positive. They are top loading through the top of the head rest. I tried to find a similar one online but they all see to top load through the screen (screen tilts out and the DVD loads through there). I need to look into it further I guess. I'm wondering if the players are just broken?

Hey how can you tell if the NAV has DVD or not?...besides the obvious sticking of a DVD into it (which I can't do from my desk at work lol).

There's a couple threads on here about the SLP tip and a Volant tip that you'd find pretty appealing I think. The SLP tip runs a little over $100 and the Volant is about 275 (roughly) but both are made out of stainless steel and look very nice! Felixgun started a thread recently about the SLP tip so you might go to his profile and look up threads started by him and you'll get a link in there. Definitely a nice tip! Another option is Magnaflow sells nice single tips that can just be welded on as well. Since your buddy has a welder at his house I'd think it'd only take him a couple minutes to get it welded up once you got the current exhaust trimmed back.

Welcome to the forum and congrats on the purchase! The Black/Tan combo is super nice IMO. As you're finding out - this forum is a great group!

I've got a solution to some of the issues your having...Since you literally bought it yesterday, write down on a piece of paper all of the issues you're having. Drive to the dealer with said list. Hand it to them and say 'fix it'!

Good luck and again, welcome!

Well I don't know where my last post went.

Anyway it basically said I have figured out that the resonator was cut and a plain steel pipe clamped on the end...oh and it said yes, I'm very glad I've found a great Tahoe forum.

I may pick up the SLP piece because it is nice looking and likely done right. My buddy can weld SS metal with SS wire but with his equiptment you'll still get some fouling of the weld. The quality made pieces have more pure welds so they should stay rust free longer.

What size is the pipe leaving the stock muffler? 3.5"? Are the SLP sections side exit or rear exit?

Seems fair

Just bought the volant super tips from John/nytahoe. It comes in Tuesday! Cant wait... Anyways It is made out of better stainless steel so I went with that one versus the slp tip. Lower grades of stainless steel tend to turn yellow faster over time.

Congrats. Looks almost like the 07 LT3 I got this past fall. Has way more electronics than my 96 Cherokee and even much more than my 05 350Z...but when you get used to it, its great.

Not sure about the USB issue, but if you have an iphone/ipod, i would reccomend the Costaletech GMX550. It got me around that issue and lets me play video off them too.

Good luck!
