Ok so first off im new and i would like to say hi to everybody lol, HI! haha ok now thats out of the way, im in the market for a tahoe, right now ive got a couple in mind but im being really picky lol, well the one truck i had in question is a 97 two door with only 2000 on a new motor, but 170,000 on the rest of the truck, and im also guessing on the rest of the drivetrain, its a nice looking truck its like a bluish green color, it has new tires, new exhaust and of course the new motor, the guy wants 5000 for it, i thought it was a little too much, but i wanted to get some opinions from guys who actually own them haha

Welcome to the neighborhood!

Whether it is worth $5K IMO depends mostly on the condition, not as much the mileage. If it has bee well maintained and especially if the new engine has a warranty, then I say yes, it could be a good buy for you.

yeah its in pretty good shape, the fender flares on it have some scuffs but thats no big deal cause i can paint those, its got a goofy brushguard but i can make it so its just the center section

i guess i should say that ive had some experience with chevys, my family is a big chevy family and i currently own a k5 blazer that im trying to sell, im looking for something newer that i can just drive and enjoy it, the k5 is a little too much for me

:welcome:
If you can confirm details on motor condition and it runs mint and the rest of truck is in very good condition in and out and under. Then 5k is very good for a 2 door. I am thinking even if the tranny only lasted a year after you got it, it would steal be good. 4x4 even better. Just function test every on the SUV. Any holdouts by the owner, talk him down are leave it.:imo:

Good luck
