What's going on guys. Proud new member and owner of a very clean 2000 Yukon SLT.

Just saying hi. I am a Refrigeration technician for my work and I love it and couldn't ask for a better job.
That being said, I understand HVAC to a Tee! Any questions feel free to ask me. I will put my email in my profile.

I also know the workings of the system in our and most vehicles very very well. I will be creating a write up in the tech info page for everyone to see and learn from.

Welcome from Miami Beach Scott!

Nice 2000 Yukon SLT! Looks to be in excellent condition.

Thank you very much for the write you did in the 2000 tech section about the HVAC system!

welcome, had a 00 myself, here is a pro-tip, since it is a crossover model (meaning some 00 were obs and some were nbs) it's best to order or look for parts for a 01 as there seemed to be some supplier confusion sometimes as to what part to use.

Can you elaborate a bit on the OBS or NBS? What does that mean?

obs is old body style which usually refers to pre-00 and nbs is new body style 00+ thru 06 during 2000 they made both body styles so there can be issue's getting the correct part if the supplier fails to ask which body style you have
and for reference nnbs would be 07~2013/14

I'll take a picture of the inside and post when I get a chance.
But it is kinda weird. The outside looks like the 01 to 05 models.
The inside does as well...except the instrument cluster doesnt look like the 03 and up models and my yukon is a cable driven throttle, not drive by wire

ya the 00-02 have there own thing, then in 03 they made some changes so 03-06 are "slightly" different, few if any interior parts can be used from the 03+, the transmissions changed and some minor engine changes, the drive by wire being one of them
