New Here, preview of my current tahoe project, also lift kit question.

98 Tahoe, swapping 5.7 vortec with 454 vortec, 6 inch lift with 34" nitto grappler 18 inch vtech camo rims. Total realtree camowrap. I do have a questions on lift kits using 34 inch tires so would a 4 inch work or go with 6in and what brands do you guys recommend? Thanks!

34 on 18's with a 6 inch should be ok. i don't think a 4'in kit would work for 34's and 18's without cuting your fenders and such. you should prolly think about re-gearing and swaping out to 14bolts with that 454.

yeah, i know tranny and rear end prob won't hold out long but gonna just wait and see what happens.

Do yourself a favor & do the 6" lift up front so you don't have regrets. Even better, since you are more than likely gonna swap out the rear end just save the $$$ and do a SAS. You'll be happier in the long run.

definitely go with the 6 inch for 34's. your gonna want the extra clearance.
