Hey guys, name is steve I'm from south eastern MA, Ivery been a member over on ls1tech since 04 so I'm not a complete noon when it comes to forums. Recently my wife's dad just bought a brand new silverado z71 so he gifted me his old 03 yukon, I've always loved full size GM trucks/suvs but this truck has been a complete nightmare, the truck is a 2003 SLT Yukon an I refuse to let it beat me, after bringing it too 3 different mechanics an over 2000 in just labor alone I need some guidence as I'm pretty sure I shorted my pcm. Long story short I was coming into work one morrnING an went to use the ash tray lighter, for sum reason it started sparking behind the dash an I got ALOT of smoke, I noticed when I got to work that, my key fob, driver side window controls, the 4x4 electronic buttons,door chimes and radio,also no lights when I open the doors all stopped working, I checked fuses, I had the body truck controller replaced, we followed the shorted wires to no avail, I can't seem to find a legit wire schematic. Oddly enough the truck still runs, still have head lights, still have overhead window, the back windows work if you use the button at their doors. Can someone, anyone please help me? I'd greatly appreciate it, I also replaced the driver door switch the whole unit, for nothing. Cause one of the mechanics told me it was the driver door switch. I know this is just an intro but if the thread needs to be moved just tell me. THANK YOU!
