Dealer did the GM recall on inside door handles on my 07 Yukon. New GM kit only has replacement door handles so they have to remove the entire door panels to retro fit. Takes 2 hours instead of 30 minutes with old kit service man said. New handles don't have a seam on top to peel.

Getting mine done on tuesday. The front passenger door handle is the only one peeling but he said he would go ahead and do all four.

Karman,
Where did you get the recall for the 07 yukon? I was only to find it for the 07 Tahoe? I have seen the letter that was posted on this forum but it says 07 tahoe will the dealer honor that letter for the Yukon or did you receive a letter that states the Yukon? I really need for the dealer to replace them because my family has gotten cut once or twice on all handles.

Really shouldn't matter if it's a GM Vehicle, I would just go to the dealer and explain the problem, which is what I did, even though I have a Yukon I went to the local Chevy dealer, had them replaced without any problem...

My letter was for my vin # but all Yukon's and Tahoe's are covered for 10 years. Printout says one kit for both door handles. Dealer kept my letter though. Service writer said he had seen very few rear door handles with problem so far.
