I asked him WTF he was talking about, and he told me he hired a white gardener named Steve, lol. It just our sense of humor, don't take offense, its just a joke dude.

That sir, was not a joke. You didnt know I was a "******" so you said it. Had you known, you would have said something different. You can "joke" with your friend all you want. I am not your friend.

Joke or not, big or small, it was a racial slur.

It's not that people are sensitive, we don't allow that on the board for a very good reason. This thread is a good example, a thread about lights with 5 or 6 comments regarding racial slurs and what you/others meant or mean by them. We don't want drama, don't put up with drama, don't put up with racial 'anything'.

Consider this a warning.

how did this turn into a page and a half about racial slurs? thought it was about headlights? i don't understand why people hang on to their heritage and wear it like a badge and dare anyone to cross the line. once you're american, you ought to just be damn american. not ****american. i've got irish, indian, cajun (coonass) whatever you wanna call it, but i don't run around saying i'm irish-american or indian-american or whatever. people say things every day that may be a little off color, but that's all it is is words. and i'm not condemning or defending anyone on this board, but it's about the love for our trucks and technical information, not sitting on point to either deliver or take offense to an inflammatory comment. as far as i'm concerned, if you're in america, you're american. so let the rest of it go. just my 2 cents. and i'll probably get flamed or get my hand slapped for this, but a thread about headlights got way off track and everyone got all gussied up and now we're walking on eggshells trying not to offend anyone. offending is something you can't guarantee won't happen. we can all try to meter out our words a little better, but these blank words that we type don't always reflect our true personalities. we're mostly grown men and women on here, so let's let some of it ride and talk about trucks. branndon -- the potato eating, can't handle whiskey, fighting, illiterate dumbass american.

I personally didnt "hang on" to anything. I simply believe its stupid to say something like that (******) to someone who is Hispanic. Its like I said, me telling someone that his Caprice with 26" wheels looks like a "" ride. Is not right. And, just because I may have a Black friend who I joke with doesnt make it ok to say something like that on a public forum. Thats it.

Also, for someone not to concider their heritage is like not acknowledging their family history. I dont "wear it on my sleeve" its who I am, and im not ashamed of my history. You may not care that you have some Irish, Indian etc etc.... But I care that my ties and heritage are from Mexico.

And my Headlights look sweet!!! Not "******". Who the F**k places "******" with clear/black headlights with corner lenses??!
