I just exchanged the GMC emblem for a Denali on the rear gate. I'm pretty happy with the results. I'm going to put a chrome GMC above the handle. I'll post pics when I'm done if you'd like.

Did you manage to tackle it by yourself? :)

Yup. Got 'er done. Pretty happy with the results. GMC was a little harder to take off than I thought. Ended up having to take out a razor and slowly scrape away the crud.

A razor next to the paint?? I woulda been a little nervous about that. Might I suggest a heat gun or blow dryer next time? :hands:

I used a hair dryer and fishing string. Once I got the emblem off, it left a lot of adhesive, pretty much all of it. I was using my finger nail but it was taking FOREVER, so I got some Goo Gone and soaked it and used the razor lightly. The key was to keep it soaked so the razor glides smoothly and doesn't scratch my paint. Once I got most of it off, I used the Goo Gone and wiped it away. Paint looks fine. But I was pretty nervous running the razor that close.

I gotcha. I'd really suggest you invest in a 3M eraser wheel then. It takes that adhesive off quickly, effortlessly and without any harm to the paint :waytogo: MUCH quicker than a razor or thumb nail :)

Yes would really like to see pics. I haven't done it yet. Sounds like an eraser wheel would be nice to have.

Esky roof rack would go nicely on your ride... as well as the denali chrome trim side mouldings!
Those are on our short list, just need the dollars to make it happen

I've got the chrome on, but haven't moved the badges around yet. I need to pick up the 3M tape and the eraser wheel. I'll def post em up when I get the job done.
