Thanks Blue, and it's my daily driver. Up until last year I kept plastic sticky runners over the carpet like in the new cars and would change every six months,

Ofcourse Not, But The Thing Is YOU Most Likely Drove That Many Miles... And Took Care Of Your Car.... When You Buy One with A Lot Of Miles.. NEVER Know If It Was Abused.. I Bought My Car With 120k & One Day My Engine Decided To Blow!! Going To Work @ 4am!

I actually bout it a few years ago at 236k with screwed injectors, screwed steering, screwed wheels, screwed carpet among other things. lots of work has been done most i did not pay for. like shocks a/v system, msd ignition system, carpet, air springs in rear for support, led lighting upgrades in and out, new heads after i found cracks at the seats when they came off to do the right head gasket after blowing it from 6-4 or vice versa i think aftyer installing a K&N fipk and doing some data acquisition test runs. what i am paying for is a overhauled tranny, doug thorley tri-y headers, onstar, 0411 pcm, hydroboost conversion, polyurathane suspension and body kit and rocker arms. most not installed yet but sitting in the truck. have paid for and installed roof basket, hitch carrier, partial set of wheels. still to get, extreme duty bumpers from tactical armor group, winch, tire, a second hitch carrier( yes you heard that correct. there might be two installed eventually.), light bars, new grill, cowl induction hood, more wheels and new tires, large retrofit and expansion of electric system, more suspension part installs, minor lift, if i can find and afford one, a whipple supercharger, paint and repair as things break. so you see even tho i got it in crappy condition going from auction to house from siting parked in a field for years it is mine and the only thing that will keep me from spending more money on it is if it gets totaled at which point i strip as much as possible and start again. mileage fort sure is not going to stop me.

period

That's A Lot Of Shit.. I'm No Where Near There... But I'm The Same Way.. I Fix Shit Thats Broken. Upgrade Parts. Drive The Shit Out Of It. I Don't Mind Spending Money On My Car.. But What I Was Referring To Is, A Lot Of People Aren't Like Us, They Don't Want To Buy A Fixer Upper! & Have To Spend Hundreds Of Dollars On A New Car They Just Bought... I Take Advantage That I Get To But Hi-Performance Parts!! :D

Sunlitcomet you are dealing with a real project and the previous owner didn't pamper it. But you are doing some great work to her. I got mine new and try to repair every thing as it ware out or before. She is always in my pocket, that's what's holding up getting it reprinted. I rather her be running right than looking good and running like crap, because I do have a heavy foot.

you would see in increase in clamping force with less effort and you should be able to see an increase of the travel speed of the brake pedal which allows for the brakes to make initial contact sooner. firmer feel can be acheive by upgrading the MC to a different one right now but there is a part or two you will have to acquire to fit the existing system. I believe if you want the newer MC on the hydrobooster the booster needs to be machined to accept it. SSBC claims the have a firm feel MC for $300 but from the evidence i have seen it is just a new nbs unit with a bushing on one fitting.

new parts under $900 i think from amazon and gm to make it stock function. other then existing sytem in good shape and no air in the lines. powerslot cryo slotted's and hawk sd pads will give you some umph. a less then $300 upgrade.

I heard that the mushy brakes come from the ABS computer, forgot the name but it sits next to the computer and then some says just change the MC, has anyone proven which one it is? I also floor my brakes also, and with 22's sometimes it's scary so I try to keep a good distance between the car in front of me in bad traffic.
