First thing I did when I got my truck with about 130,000 on it was replace every pulley I could that the belt rode on. Quieted it down tremendously. (I was looking at your tensioner that has just a bit of rust starting on it). Just to add to your list
the intake looks kickass! How big of an inlet do you have at the front? Have you looked at scepter to see if they have a filter to fit?
Def not a bad idea about the pulley's. I think I might have a few extras since I did several blower kits of a few trucks/cars in the past, I may have a few factory pulley's that are brand new laying around in one of my tool areas. I'll start doing inventory, just incase. It's amazingly quiet right now.
Glad you dig the intake, I made it in a few minutes. I just hadn't gotten around to the filter part of it just yet. Maybe today if I have a min to walk outside. I work for a place that sells components to make stuff like that so, it's a sweet place to have access to.
One more thing that I would do if I had a white yukon/tahoe/suburban.
I saw this once here in Cali on a white one-
The guy blacked out the pillars in between the side windows to match the tint of the windows. Kind of the same idea that range rover uses.
It looked AMAZING (in my opinion) and it has always been at the top of my white SUV list. If anything, photoshop it on your truck and see how it would look. I'd love to see somebody here do it.
Very cool idea. I'll have to get some ideas of how that'd look on this platform. Hell,..plastic dipping is always an easy, non permanent option to see how it'd look. Maybe one weekend i'm all hopped up on mountin dew, i'll check it out. Cool idea man, thanks!
Welcome!
Thanks everyone.
I installed the tune this morning,...did the girlie 87 oct tune to start....figured i'd see what I can get out of it at this state.
Also did a couple of pics,...will upload asap.
