Just joined forum. I purchased a new 2011 Yukon SLT on Tuesday:hands:. Only 2wd but that is all I need in Florida. I traded my 2009 Highlander Hybrid. I really was sick of the hybrid quirks. The only shock with this is the gas mileage. It only has the 5.3L but still averages only 17.5 mpg. I only have 250 miles on it. Does the mileage improve with age (say in 2-4K miles)? Mine has the optional air ride suspension. Is there any indication that it is on or working?

Thanks for any answers and :party33:

Welcome to the forum. Show us some pictures of your new ride, as we all love pictures here.

In regards to the gas mileage. I have an '06 Yukon NBS and I have NEVER seen more then 16 miles per gallon on the freeway on a long trip. Ok, mine is a 4x4 and an older model, but I am thinking you are doing pretty good with 17.5 mpg.

On average, my computer says I get around 13.2. The 16 mpg is on a long trip on the freeway, mostly cruise control.

Maybe some of the NNBS truck owners can add a bit more to your question.

They only ride better on CK375s... :secret:

Come on now Robbie, he just joined and got out of a Toyota. Do you really think he knows what CK375s are?

We average 15-15.5 in our suburban. 5.3L also. That's with a tune as well.

well i went to dallas and back over the week end with a day of driving in dallas.. and it was 800.2 miles and 2 tanks.. that highway with 4/8 happening so the math on that is right at about 16 but there was driving in dallas on that so.. why your looking about 17-18 guessing and in town well everyone drives different.. so thats really based on how you drive.. 4200 miles on mine.. still loving it regardless of gas.. if i was trying to save gas i would stuck with the hybrid..

What is a ck 375?

I appreciate the responses but don't know what a CK375 is. Do I really need to know? Are these 22" rims? I only have 20" rims with Bridgestone Duellers at 35lbs. Today we drove to Daytona Beach (RT about 150 miles). No A/C and windows open, three people in car. I got between 20 and 21 mpg after refueling and calculating rather than using the DIC. The Yukon rides fine with 35 lbs. although I'll keep an eye on tire wear.

I do need a SS exhaust tip if anyone has a recommendation.
