If one were to press the red emergency button on the OnStar Spy Agency mirror about 500 times in one day, would the OnStar Spy Agency "deactivate" one's account? Just asking. :Good or Bad:

It will be interesting to see how the OnStar Spy Agency responds to a letter sent to it by two Senators: http://franken.senate.gov/?p=press_release&id=1751

I received a call from OnStar this morning telling me that the "data connection" to my vehicle had been deactivated, and the lights would go off on my mirror.

Well, guess what. I just checked the mirror and every damn light is still lit up! So I called OnStar back a few minutes ago and was told it would take up to 14 days for the deactivation to occur. Something tells me I'll be calling OnStar again in two weeks, and getting confirmation that the "data connection" has really been deactivated is going to turn into a federal case.

The right light on my 2010 Tahoe mirror has gone from green to being out completely. Whether that means the "data connection" has been deactivated, I still don't know. Getting correct information from the OnStar Spy Agency is a joke. As far as I know, the Onstar Spy Agency goons just made the right light on the 2010 mirror go out and they're still collecting data.

Stay tuned.

GM should dump OnStar and reduce the price of all of its new vehicles by $600-800. That would gain some interest in their cars. We as a society has become so much of a wimp when it comes to convenience it is pitiful. We are scared to drive down the street without someone standing by if something goes wrong. GM could actually design their cars so you don't have to worry about locking your keys in the car but people would have to push the lock button on their transmitter. I doubt 25% of Americans under 30 can even read a map. Heck my 6 year old can track where he is at on a map.

Since Halloween is just around the corner, how about some OnStar Spy Agency faces being tossed out on YouTube, like Joanne Finnorn, Vice-President of OnStar Spy Agency Subscriber Services, being made into Halloween masks? :mwah1:

The kids could also wear an OnStar Spy Agency outfit labeled: "Hi! I'm from OnStar Spy Agency, and I'm here to help you", and their noses could grow longer every time they open their mouths.

Bet those kids wouldn't get much candy. :happy175:

I'm not warm and fuzzy about OnStar either......but after reading all this thread, my question is.....where are the power and related wires located so it can be deactivated by ME?

Yeah, the creepy goons at Onstar Spy Agency and GM don't make any effort to explain the process, do they?

You can find about one billion posts on the Internet about people saying they "pulled the OnStar fuse", but none of the one billion posts tell you which fuse that is. And it sure as hell isn't explained in any of the manuals that came with my 2010 Tahoe.

Lots of posts about disabling the antenna, but I've seen enough counter-posts to discount that idea at this time.

The OnStar Spy Agency slimebags that keep posting on many topics around the Internet don't answer how to get their crappy, intrusive spying stuff out of one's vehicle. :upyours:

I still haven't been contacted by the OnStar Spy Agency about their deviant perverted spying policy changes. I know I gave the OnStar Spy Agency a fake home address and fake email address and fake phone number and told the bastards not to ever contact me when I purchased my 2010 Tahoe, but the OnStar Spy Agency does know where I reside. So how can the OnStar Spy Agency say they have contacted everyone about their spy policy changes? :uhoh2:

ONSTAR SPY AGENCY BACKTRACKS ON ITS CORPORATE DECISION TO TRACK NON-SUBSCRIBERS: http://www.computerworld.com/s/arti...ontroversial_GPS_tracking_plans?taxonomyId=17

Well, it's a start. The STUPIDITY of the dumb-asses ruining, uh, I mean "running" the OnStar Spy Agency is mind-numbing. How a collective group of morons of biblical proportions can worm its way into management is beyond belief. It's like a group of inbreds who are all brain-damaged get together in a group meeting and come up with dumb-ass decisions, and can't think one step ahead to see how God-awful stupid they are!

OnStar, here's what I think of you: :Plugged: :flipthebird:   :badidea: :devilfinger: :mfr_omg: :upyours:

Very interesting.

I don't subscribe to OnStar. After reading their updated Privacy Statement that takes effect December 1, 2011, I just called 1-888-466-7827 to get the "data connection" to my vehicle deactivated, and was told that someone from their "Customer Loyalty Team" would have to call me on Monday, September 19, 2011 between 8:00 A.M. and 11:00 P.M. EST to discuss the matter!!!!!!!

Geez, that ought to be an interesting phone conversation. I don't have OnStar, and it sounds like they're going to try and get me to subscribe, rather than deactivate the "data connection" to my vehicle.

It looks like OnStar Spy Agency has killed the link above. The dumb-asses must be revising it. :signs8:

I'd suggest the goofs running OnStar Spy Agency press the red emergency button and ask for help. They've obviously been hit by a train (of negative publicity) and need emergency help.
