Hello everyone, it's about that time to post up a order thread.

Just placed a pre-liminary order for a 2025 yukon xl at4 with the new lz0 diesel.

Specs: msrp: 88,495
At4 with the $8,310 (8) passenger premium package.
Lz0 with supercruise.

Color: midnight pine
Interior: at4 specific color

My dealer placed it but it hasn't been picked up yet as no allocations for diesel currently open.

We all know the new diesels are shipping out around March so I will be curious to see when this order gets accepted.

Let the fun begin!

Most excited about the extra space as our current 2023 yukon is standard length.

The interior enhancements are cool too. As will be supercruise!

Order status as of today: 1100

I went from a 22 Yukon Denali (which replaced a short-lived 21 spec’ed the same but with lifter failure at 13k miles) to a 24 AT4 XL and will likely never go back! The extra space and ride with that long wheelbase is intoxicating! Couple that with a bigger fuel tank and third row, and you have a winner!!!

Congrats, OP! I’ll be following your posts closely as that’s the exact config I’d order when it comes time to replace my 6.2 AT4 XL. I’ll especially be interested in your take on the existing diesel vs the new one.

Absolutly. When we ordered the 2023 my wife was worried about the length of the XL but now she's the one who has been asking about a bigger version.

Current diesel has been so good to us. The range is intoxicating. 24 gallons at 30mpg avg = 720miles+ can't wait to have an extra 4 gallons in the XL.. curious to see if the lz0 is dynamically different in feel.

Its the same dealer I used last time so I'm hoping for another good experience!

On January 17,2025, my dealer placed my order for a shorty silver Yukon AT4 also with premium 8 passenger package and 6.2 engine. As of today, it’s still at current event code 1100. My dealer is one of the country’s largest so hopefully allocation and getting my order moving along won’t be a problem. Will follow your updates.

Any updates?

I just ordered a 2025 XL Ultimate in Titanium Rush with the 3.0 Diesel. Only other option was the night vision.. How long before I get the first GMC email?

I used the same dealer also for my 2025 Denali Ultimate LZ0. He treated me pretty good and didn't try to add on a bunch of garbage I didn't want. He did say though that a loaded Ultimate diesel would not probably be one of the 1st diesel Yukon's out of the gate. He's telling me May 1st +/- 2 weeks.

As of today we are at event code 3000.

What sucks is historically I've always used the gm chat advisor for updates. While they can tell you some info they refuse to give out event codes. They tell you to ask your dealer.

Idk why or what's changed but these advisors thru gm chat have been less than helpful.

So unlike last time it's a bit harder to make an exact timeline.

Anyways hope they give me a TPW soon!

a few years ago when ordering really took off these companies had to work through how they'd relay information. used to be if the chat person wasn't real helpful, you'd just end the session and try again for someone different. I also had found a phone number where I was able to call about an order and was able to get event codes a couple years ago. Not too long after that they started replying with the standard...not allowed to provide event codes.

my guess is the dealers weren't crazy about the customer potentially knowing more than them...oh, chat says it's built, when is it shipping? or it shows it's accepted, when will it be built? your normal, everyday sales guy had no clue about constraints or event codes. was at a local dealer and was literally told, oh....I don't know about all the details about ordering, this other sales guy has been studying up on it and he knows everything...almost like it was a bad thing. we placed two orders over a 6 month span and never saw either vehicle.

You may be on to something. It sucks because I've ordered plenty and it's a great way of staying in the know without bothering the dealer. Although I see and get delivery of every order I have placed im sure what you are saying is spot on. The dealer doesn't want their typical customer to know more than them.
From an information perspective there really should be a portal where you can pop in a order # and see where it's at with event code and a estimated time frame. People love this type of stuff and it's one of the few aspects of ordering domestics that the imports don't really allow.

The funny thing is they have been saying for years how they can't provide event codes. But this latest order is the first time I have not gotten one from anyone I have asked outside of the dealer.

Although I have not called any number and I don't really intend on it. Its just fun to be able to post a play by play for others in the same point.

Come on GM Give us what we want!
