ya that's what i am talking about, it's supposedly because of the roof glue, my 18 Silverado has terrible design as far as wind goes with the windows down after about 80mph it's like a tornado inside above 100 it knocks the window visors down, my 03 you could go 140 and it wasn't half as bad. The 18 has a middle rear window that opens and things in the back of the truck will get sucked inside I had a empty soda can in the back and it spun it around and shot it forward like a high speed slingshot into the cab. I am pretty sure it's because of the front window angle, not sure if vent visors would help or not.
140 in your 03?? You're my hero Wes!!

ehh it was more like 136-137 that's what all these things do once the limiter is off, I drove my 00 yukon xl balls out like that across half the country, from here to Kansas and from Montana to Texas, Utah & Idaho are sketchy lot's of small towns with like 25mph speed limits thru town and a cop just itching to hand out tickets makes no sense middle of bum Phuck egypt no traffic and a 25mph zone all the way thru town, sometimes out in Arizona and Nevada, New Mexico you kinda gotta back off a little because there's no gas stations sometimes and boy it's hot out there in the desert. The most beautiful place between all of that is just North of Flagstaff on 180, between there and the Grand Canyon just beautiful land and forest and the place with the fastest speed limit is Texas 80mph, drove thru the salt flat's would have been interesting to take a run out on the raceway but didn't see it as I was passing thru

Most I've gotten was 137, but it was still pulling hard. I actually let up. Was racing some kid in a Honda. My gf was with me, she yelled because she thought I was going 100. I laughed and said nope, we were just doing 137(had my GPS on). She was quiet after that :p

137 is essentially the top speed due to gearing and wind resistance but if given enough space and power some will go a tiny bit more, that's all I could get out of my 00 xl I rode it like that many many miles, the 03 silverado had I think 3.73 so once you got up there it was really pushing the tac hard, but it was lighter than the yukon, then if you boost them up like Randeez they of course do a lot more.
