I think I've seen a couple of these around socal. My commute takes me from my home in North San Diego county as far South as downtown San Diego and as far North as Santa Ana.

These are noticeable because the few that exist really pop out among a sea of those Ford law enforcement trucks that are EVERYWHERE out here. Some of the 07-14 PPV/SSV are still in service out here.

A couple years ago I bought a 2011 Tahoe SSV 5.3L 4x4 from GSA auction and loving it.

The poor thing was a mess when retired; abandoned wire harnesses everywhere, K9 cage, bad dog smell.

I pulled everything out of the interior and rebuilt it to resemble a civi Tahoe. Some quirks but a great truck.

Is there a market for something like this should I decide to sell? I thought I'd drive this forever but my better half disagrees.

No, left suspension as is. The 9G3 RPO code on my SSV suggests that it was placed in service with off-road suspension rather than the lower pursuit suspension rolled out with PPVs. It has a mildly aggressive stance on 31' BFGs. Maybe a bit stiff, but works well for me.

I wouldn't sell it. If you own it and take good care out of it, get as many miles out of it as humanly possible.

there is a good mix down here in Houston with the k2 and nnbs tahoes and burbs.. My black 12 burb flying down the freeway, people hit their brakes or move over quite a bit, kinda fun.. Thought about putting the 17 ppv wheels on it for more fun...

I don't think on the k2, there is really much difference vs the nnbs for the ppv.

I really dig that silver thought on that PPV though... all our stuff down here is white or black... no in between... except for the detective ones, gold sometimes.
