Now it's the passenger side. I get nothing, no brake, no reverse, and no signal. All bulbs are good. I took off the working driver's side assembly and plugged it into this side and got nothing. When I push the pigtail in really hard and hold it in, one of the filaments barely glows red with the brake pusheddown. Anyone have any ideas? I'm thinking of replacing the pigtail.

Clean the contacts up, check with volt meter... If you don't have a volt meter just bend ya a paper clip and stick it in there with your fingers, you'll know then

Bad tip of the day!

I've heard that the circuit boards/plugs go bad in these things over time, especially if you live in a corrosive environment.

Try taking the connector apart and adjusting the pins for better metal-to-metal contact.

Ok so now I have NO brake lights on either side but do get parking lights. When I turn signals on, they blink really fast. Also, the third brake light does light up just fine when brakes are used. What gives??

When mine was acting funny I had to change out the circuit boards and all the bulbs... The old bulbs in the new board did funny stuff like your saying. They weren't burnt out and looked fine but didn't work.

I bought a new brake light switch and will buy new bulbs and see if that does anything. It's hard to believe that I have a bad switch if the third brake light comes on but who knows. I'm slowly starting to think of getting rid of this thing.

If the switch is where I think it is it looks impossible to get to and replace. I'm not looking forward to it
