Well. Wasn't real happy with the coponents I put in. Going to sound proof the doors today. Here's the first shot. I'll post updates as I go along. I have the inner skin done and closing the gaps on the outer skin with sheet metal.

Just fired everything back up and can't believe what I was missing. Great vocals mid bass. Sounds so much bette . Glad I didn't buy anymore speakers. It would not have made a bit of difference. Wow.

What kind of interface or wire harness did you use.. I'm getting some static feed back from only my door speakers even at volume 0.. I'm thinking it has something to do with bose amp. I have 3 12s with 2 amps installed in the back .. one feeding subs and also have 4 6x9s that the other amp is feedings , I have a kenwood HU but I'm thinking I might have gotten the wrong adapter for behind the radio. I'm not sure any advice would help thanks

I used a Metra lc lan1 behind the the head unit. Basicly only used the power leads remote etc...I had a non bose factory stereo. Not using the steering wheel controls blue tooth our anything like that. I'm running my front and back sTage and rear sub with a jl 5 channel. So the harness will be a lot different if you have a bose I believe. I didn't even use factory speaker wire in the doors. Ran new wire through the whole vehicle. I did use a tr7 I believe it's called for my video. Which goes to the brake and parking brake. Did not use a brake bypass. Does the static get louder with the volume. And it is static... not alternator whine. What kind of speakers do you have in the front??are they coponents?? It sounds like you are running your fronts speakers off your bose amp?? All your other speakers off your new amps. I actually looked for a tahoe without the bose. I have heard of interfaces being bad. I read somewhere people going through a couple of them. Check the stickies out in this subforum make sure you have the proper harness. Throw up a new post and see if you can find someone that have had the same problem. If it's engine whine you could have a bad ground or if your using coponents your passive crossover could be picking up some noise.

Thanks for the response. . Yeah I been searching and searching no body seems to have this issue. No its not a whine, it's static and the static does not increase with volume and if the volume is on zero you can hear like a xm radio but I don't have xm radio.. I replaced all door speakers with brand new kickers . And I believe u are right the speakers may tied into the bose amp but I don't know how to bypass that bc all I did was plug the harness into the factory harness and color matched the speaker wires

OK. Well I have no experience with the bose so if it was me I would do one of two things to isolate the problem.

1..unplug one of your speaker channels on the amp that powers a 6×9. Run a new wire(not buried under carpet) just lay the wire across the carpet on top of the seat shortest distance possible to one of your front door speakers. This would be the easiest. Only thing you really have to do is take 1 front door panel off. This way you can see if the static goes away. If it does go away your problem is with the bose amp or head unit. If you still have static you have a problem with the passive crossover or speaker.
2..little more extensive. Run a new speaker wire from your head unit directly to one of your front door speakers. Again shortest and easiest route possible. On top of carpet etc...you don't have to run your new wire through the door where the factory speaker wires are. Just take your panel off and run it through one of the many holes. This step you are only bypassing the bose amp. If your static goes away you know it's the bose.

I would probably do step 1 since I think it's the bose amp and it's the easiest.

Let me know what you find out and we will figure out what to do next.

Ok so I just did it.. I ran a small speaker wire to the rear door speaker which also has major static on it.. I removed the door panel and took the speaker out and ran to my amp in the back.. there is still static coming from the speaker but no where near as loud as if it was going to the HU .. I kno this is probably hard to trouble shoot but do u have any idea of what it could be??
