Hardly any.. you have to stick your ear directly against the speaker to hear but it is still there

Well if you had static running your door speaker directly off your amp I think we can rule out the harness and the bose amp. Just for grins what kind of door speakers do you have?? And you are running rca directly from your HU to the amp. No funky connets adapters. Starting to sound like it's your HU. Not putting out a clean signal. I don't know.it if you had static in your 6×9 but those are not going through you bose. You have static in your whole system but your speakers are getting juice from different sources(bose amp, aftermarket) the only common source is the HU. I am no expert though. And it's static not alternator whine. If it was whine I would say your HU is not properly grounded. I guess it could be a harness?? Not your speaker part of it but maybe ground power remote etc. Could be picking up noise somewhere. But I'm just throwing darts in the dark.

Na .. it makes perfect sense tho.. I bout brand new kicker door speakers there only like 2 months old.. I originally thought it was the factory speakers. So I changed them out.. I have a kenwood HU ddx370 but I'm not pleased with it I want to get a new one.. and yes I do have an adapter for the rca going to the amp. It splits one line to both red and white and the other line the same red and white. But i don't see why I hear faint xm radio playing when the volume is on 0 .. it's something crazy maybe I need to replace the whole HU

I would hate for you to replace it and you still have that faint static. Have you checked out caraudioforum. Some pretty knowledable guys in that forum. You will get a lot more feedback than I can give you. I hope you get it figured out. When exactly did the static start. When you put the kenwwod in?? I agree with you. You had static in your fronts but they didn't run off your amp(rca's) something Is definitely off with your HU or behind it.

I think we narrowed it down a little which is good. Please update me when you find out. Check that forum out and be as thorough as you can. Amps what speakers with the signal sources and that you have static on all speakers but some more that others. Good luck!!
