Welcome to the forum from Oregon.
Miles on it and what is the list for work to do? Pics please, we like pics.
It's sitting at 277k miles which yea is a lot however it runs very well minus a few small things and paper work shown at time of sale it had a full tune up with GM OE parts. The Transmission was rebuilt 8 months ago a long with a replaced rear main seal and transfer case. Only minor issue I have with it is it has an exhaust leak that I am going to diagnose this weekend and the fan and clutch is REAL loud so it's probably on its way out. Bought a new parts to install this weekend as well.
As Far as plans for it.. not quite sure. I have always owned cars either 4 doors or 2 door sports cars. I sold my 17 Fusion Sport because it barely got driven only had 24k miles on it when I sold it. made 22k off it and saw the Tahoe for sale down the road and figured what the hell I liked it and bought it.
Current plans is to go through all the suspension, steering, brakes and emissions systems and replace what's worn out. The interior needs work as it was smoked in and used to carry parts that stained the seats a bit. I'm probably going to order a katzkin interior for it as I had them before and held up nice. Bought a new carpet kit and getting the headliner redone as well. May end up replacing the dash and 2 front door panels as they are worn out pretty bad. Ac works along with the rear ac and all electricals inside work as well minus the adjustable pedals. So Just going through it and getting it back to tip top condition before I even think about modifying it.
Future mods will probably be mild at best maybe short tube headers ( I know long tubes are better but not looking for max horsepower ) better exhaust, after some time convert to electric fans. I might just might either have the current engine rebuilt or get a crate long block and have the heads redone with some light porting a mild cam and a tune to top it off. It needs some light body work...few dents and there's a fair amount of paint chipping away. I have a good body man to take care of that and get it repainted.
Only picture I have of it right now is attached.
But yeah thanks for the Howdy and it's going to be fun. I'll be an active member as well.
