Whats up guys. Im new to this board but it seems great already. The DIY stuff on here is sick and I plan of contributing very soon. I am looking into purchasing a new Tahoe LTZ very soon. I am lookign for a good deal like anyone else. Does any one have a good dealership/salesman that they would recommend to me or do you think I should just play them off each other through the internet sales departments considering they care more about moving as many vehicles as possible. Any insight would be great.

Wait until September-December and buy a 2011. You'll get a better deal.

Also don't be afraid to get a slightly used LTZ. You'll save thousands!! Even if it's an '11 but has just a few thousand miles on it  just some food for thought as you lose so much value on brand new rides...

Where do you live? I found that in the Midwest, SUVs fetch more in the late fall/winter..

With gas prices and the summer season, you should be able to get a great deal.

For the price of a new Tahoe LTZ.. you could probably get a slightly used Denali or Escalade ;)

I see a lot of people going the "buy used" route but IMO if you can afford new then why bother getting used? The previous owner could have been a complete douche and gave the truck hell. If you buy new you know that the first few thousand miles were broken in properly and EXACTLY what the ride has been put through. That being said, I bought used to save money. Couldn't afford new at the time.

+1

Mine was barely driven/lightly used right under 20k miles as a fully loaded LTZ. I couldve bought a newer year but with wayyy less options but at the same price.

I -can- afford new but had a budget. I just chose used bc it is a smarter option then driving thousands of dollars off the lot getting a new vehicle. In April 2010 I purchased a 08 Tahoe LTZ which I definitely could have bought a 2010 Tahoe LS or LT... but definitely not an LTZ. Technically I could've spent the money on an 07 Escalade or 07 Denali with 75,000+ miles too but I need this car to last me 5 years at least :)

Along the buy used route....

Why pay $45k to $50k for a brand new LTZ when you can go grab essentially the same ride with 15k to 20k miles on it for $35k or less  It just makes more sense. Unless you're pretty wealthy and losing a $10k to $15k on the value on a vehicle doesn't matter then buying gently used is the way to go IMO :waytogo:
