I tend to buy stock and mod myself so that i know the quality of the mods. If you buy a lifted rig be sure that the lift is done correctly. A hacked up lift can be a very dangerous situation!!!

I agree with everyone. I would go diesel in a heartbeat. The lifted hoes sound cool but as 07burb said, you need to be sure they were lifted properly. In addition, if its been lifted chances are it's been treated roughly. Who knows what they've been through. If I had your choice, I would go with the diesel and not look back. Then you can lift it to your standards.

I agree 100%. I'd especially be leery of a SAS rig with that much lift. It's better to buy stock and do it yourself. Plus, the 1994 and older versions have the dated interiors.

Why is working on a diesel so much more difficult to work on then a gasoline engine?

Is it that its more difficult? Or just different? I'm sure most people don't have experience with them, and the differences between how the 2 engines run.

I don't think it is. I was actually asking Crows Feet why he thinks why it maybe difficult for some others. I don't find it difficult at all it is just different. Should have quoted him first.:sorry:

I gotta agree with Crows Feet. I just turned 200k on my TBI '95 Yuke. Previous owner replaced the timing chain (which is THE maint nightmare of V8s) at 120k and I thoroughly de-sludged and flushed / filled EVERYTHING when I bought it with 170k and she purrs like a lion cub.
Than again, I literally went to war in a 6.2 K5 and it brought me home.
Mileage with the TBI is simply ABYSMAL, but I don't know if its really any better with the diesel. I'm currently looking into cat back systems that might help. Any suggestions?
