Just got a 2001 Yukon Denali in on trade. Here's how it worked out.

Traded my 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited with quadradrive, 4.7L, fully loaded with 2 inch spring lift and 130k miles.

Plus my custom built 1977 yamaha XT500 converted to supermoto with 2001 YZ426 suspension, brakes, subframe, and plastics.

It's no beauty queen, but I am going to save her. Looking for a good condition passenger fender to replace the one with rust. Bottom and frame have some rust but I am going to blast that and them treat it and seal it. I bought new tires for it. Replaced the rear hatch handle. New wipers. Changed the engine oil. Coolant looks good. Trans fluid looks nice fresh. Will probably do a t-case an diff fluid swaps in spring. The interior and puddle lights are all led (which I really like). The front has halogen projectors, need better bulbs as they are dim. Rear has spyder led lights I think....

I am bringing it to dealer so they can "clean rust between and sensor and hub (part of recall, so free). It pulses when getting under 5 mph for a brief second.

Inside all heated seats work except driver, appears to be button and I will have to investigate later. The drivers side front and rear door speakers are not working, have to look into that. The cruise control doesn't work. I assume switch as the light won't come on on dash. Any ideas on a fix for this?

Other than that and a few cosmetic things like cracked pass side step cover and cracked rear bumper cover it's great.

I traded because too many people text and tried to kill me on my bike. We have 2 kids, want more and have a boat and 25 ft airstream. Need the third row eventually. Jeep was great tow vehicle but too small. Wife has a 2012 traverse which we love but it's our everyday car. I have a 2006 BMW Z4M which I drive to work all summer and that's about it haha. The Denali seems like it will tow much better than the jeep. Jeep did great, just too small but they really can put the power down. I love the comfy ride in the Denali. Much smooth than Jeep. Power is good but needs tuning to be more refined I think. Has an intake and exhaust right now. I'd like 400hp out of it if doable without too much work. Overall I am happy with it. Lots to learn about it but I enjoy that and do all my own work when I can. I hope this turns out to be very reliable and useful for us for 3-4 years. Looking forward to the forum, lots of good stuff here.

Feel free to ad tips, comments, etc.

Good trade. I have a 03 WJ Overland just like the one you traded, its setup mainly for our offroading trips. Its nice, very fast with the 4.7 H.O. but just way too small to be the main family hauler imo. You'll love the Denali, plus the GM fullsize suvs are just so reliable. I really haven't done anything to mine except one front hub and brakes. Just finally changed the spark plugs last week.
