I’m looking to buy a 1995 – 1999 2 door Tahoe, can anyone tell me if a sports model is any shorter than the 2 wheel drive model?

This part of the forum is for 2015 models. You should probably post this in a different area for a better response.

No the sport is not shorter. All 2 doors ride on the same frame and body. Here's a couple things to look for in a 2 door:

92-94 full size Blazers and Yukons are identical to a 2 door tahoe. These are great vehicles as well.

95 introduced the "Tahoe" name. 95's are fine, but keep in mind they still had the tbi motor. If you prefer the 95-99 style over the Blazers, it is worth a few hundred extra bucks to buy a 96+ for the vortec motor that was introduced in 96.

99 was the last year of a 2 door tahoe. It was also the only year for auto 4wd (not that it's useful imo). And although I could be wrong, I've never seen a pre 99 with the compass/thermometer mirror.

2 doors were also made with 5 speed manual transmissions, 6.5 turbo diesel motors, and in very rare cases, both. If you come across one with one or both of these, it is very much worth some extra money.

That's about all I know. Hope it was a help!
