whatsup everyone, i have a 94 yukon with what appears to be the skyjacker 2 inch lift. i looked it up and these kits come with a arms for the front and a dif drop bracket.. so the stock torsion bars are still used and acheve lift..? anyway, the driver side is softer and sits about an inch lower than the passengers side, so i figure ill just crank up the torsion bars a little to even it out, i get under there and these bolts are cranked all the way in.... i guess what im trying to get at is what the fcuk is going on here, are my torsion bars worn out?. much appreciated

I am not sure you have a lift to be honest. Sounds like just a torsion bar crank and maybe blocks out back. And yes, the torsion bars could be worn out a bit. post a picture, that may help a bit

its definately lifted, the kid i got it from said he didnt do it, but it looked high to me, also the upper a arms are painted black and tubular and u dont see those in stock vehicles, inside the passenger door is a skyjacker 'warning this pos is lifted' sticker, and there are no blocks, but an addaleaf. i searched skyjacker lifts for this truck and found this

id get some pictures of it but its been raining balls today. this truck seems like it took some abuse, but nothing that crazy but who knows. so what do u think, do stock torsion bars have a tendancy to wear out? everything else in the front end seems to be in good working order. thanks guys

yea its the skyjacker 2-3 in. kit that replaces the upper a arms and drop bracket for the diff. and keeps the stock lower control arms and torsion bars. an inch of lean to one side is excesive, but not unheard of. the drivers side always settles lower then the passengers side does. the previous owner might have cranked the bars beyond their suggested limits and thats the result. The only fix is really to de-crank the pass. side a little to even out, or replace the torsion bars themselves, because just like any spring they wear out eventually.

thanks man thats exactly what i needed to know, do you think i should upgrade to an atermarket torsion bar or get some decent stock ones from a junkyeard or something? would my lift cause the front drive shaft vibration ive heard of with a lift in yhese trucks? the guy i got it from replaced the transfer case and the rear driveshaft was on opposite balance which also obv was making it unconfortable, but i reversed it and its still vibrating a little..... thanks for the good insight guys.. im new to a torsion bar setup, kindofa jeepguywhenitcomestorigscoughcough but a chevy guy thru and thru, hope thats not some sacrelig like a ford guy ona chevy forum around here lol

yea, if your going to do the work to replace the bars i would upgrade to an HD bar, which you can pick up at just about any online site. They will not sag as much, and ride a little stiffer, but cause you have your bars cranked you wont notice a big difference if any at all. as for the drive shaft it really shouldnt be vibrating due to the lift. if the lift does drop the diff. assembly down to compensate for the cv angles, then it could possibly be off alignment enough to vibrate. But if the kit you have doesnt drop the differential then the vibration isnt due to your lift, its coming from somethings else, possibly bad u-joints? i know mine are shot.
jeep thing= cool
ford thing= i dont know you:shocked:
