New to tuning, Tahoe z71

Hey guys, I'm a complete newb when it comes to tuning. I've got an 07 Tahoe z71, and I want it to have better "get up and go". Quicker off the line. Maybe some different shift points? I have no idea.
What types of changes would be done to my comp to get off the line faster?
I'm in Austin, TX, so I'm trying to get more info before I come to the BBB meet up in Dallas.
