New truck questions

Just purchased a 07 Denali less then 1 week ago and have two issues, one is when the truck sits overnite and when I start it I hear a god awfull sound (air compressor) for about 10 seconds. This cannot be normal.....

Lastly the rearview camera intermitantly is flickering on the screen.

Where do I begin?

Sure it's normal. It's the air compressor for the auto ride.

Pull out your radio and check the connections to the rear of it. Might be coming loose. It's common.

The compressor gets loud after time. Mine was so loud I could hear it over the radio. If you are gonna keep the autoride you can pick up a replacement compressor from Arnott for a fraction of what the dealer will charge. Install isn't too bad-just be ready to replace the 3 mounting mounting screws as they are prolly rusted and will break off. I replaced both my rear air shocks and compressor recently.

I agree it sounds like a loose connection for your backup camera as well....

Yeah the compressor is loud. My '08 is the same. I've learned to tune it out.

I was in a 2012 loaner the other day and it was whisper quiet, did not know they get louder.

Thank God its only comes on for 5-10 seconds cause any longer/louder I couldnt deal with it.

Shouldnt the system hold air over night? I would assume besides a shot compressor there is a leak?? IDK
