Welcome to the forum and local to me too.

I just picked my up (well it was shipped) two weeks ago and I am in the same boat, lots of reading and learning as my list of to do's is growing.

Looks great!

Just wanted to say howdy and throw out some pics of my new ride. 2015 Chevrolet Tahoe PPV. Been doing some mods and getting some items worked on but will be reading this thread to find out how-to's and harvest ideas.

The nice thing about the police versions is they will already have the Daytime Running Lights, disabled, and they will never be equipped with engine damaging stop-start technology.

Thanks! If I am completely honest, I have always been a Ford guy so I know little about Chevy's and Tahoe's especially. If I can contribute, I certainly will but right now it has been "soak it all in" mode trying to make this a work truck with some character.
Nice PPV. Does it still have those blue lights in the grill and along the sides?

Unfortunately, no. I installed more than a few amber/white 4" lights around the vehicle and an amber/white lightbar on the roof but when they decommisioned it apparently they did their best to make it so someone like me doesn't do what I am doing. No power at the rear power panel and none from the harness between the seats. Been beating my head against the wall trying to figure out how to go about finishing the install.

The 125amp power feed had been severed on thecopcar. Once I figured out what should be there, I traced the wiring inside the cabin and found it intact. I bought a long battery cable of the correct gauge and did a splice. It’s visible just behind the master cylinder.

For reference, the same cable in theothertwin. It wasn’t cut off when I bought it.

It seems the decommissioning process is rather hit or miss depending on which guy does it.

I will have to check this more tomorrow. I went out and took a quick look but everything seems to be intact. Will grab the multimeter and dig a little deeper tomorrow. Thanks for pointing out a possible location to check!

It could be something as simple as the 125amp megafuse is blown.

Ok. I am taking a break from trying to figure this out and will humbly ask for some help from the knowledgeable folks here. Here are the wire bundles currently in question:

The first picture has no tag or markings but has these three separate bundles with these connectors inside: The black connector has a red and black wire (along with some others) that is hot when the ignition is off. The gray connector with the blue at the bottom has ONLY a red and black wire that is ONLY hot when the ignition is on (not running.) The third connector looks like some sort of phone charger plug similar to an older Motorola plug.

The second picture has a tag that is torn in the middle but the barcode scans out to "6G4". It has a single wire that loops around and connects back with the bundle. No clue on that one.

The third and fourth picture s has a tag showing "5W49C1" (photo 3). It has two heavy gauge wires (black and red) but there is no power there regardless of the key position. It also has several smaller wires in the bundle shown in photo 4.

I'll add a couple more bundles after dinner. Anyone with insight is welcome to chime in. ;-)
